The purpose of this voluntary management group, who are a sub committee under Watergrasshill Community Association, is the planning & control of traffic during large events in our Community e.g. funerals, weddings, Community led outdoor events, various planned annual gatherings, sporting events, parades, homecomings, fundraising opportunities etc. Since inception it has proven to be a very worthwhile & busy group taking pressure of families, as one example, in moments of grief and continue to ensure security, safety, control, traffic calming, speed control & privacy.
The group has invested, with the kind assistance of KEPAK Watergrasshill, in steel barriers, traffic cones, trailer, lighting, hi vis jackets for our volunteers.
To note that this group is not responsible for traffic calming or pedestrian facilities in general within the village, this area falls under our planning & development action group.
