Bookings & Centre activity remains very strong on a weekly basis, but there are generally some slots available, so for bookings please contact: comm.centre@watergrasshill.com

Our Community Hall Action Group is responsible for:

Hall maintenance.
Promotion and community vision of the centre.
General day-to-day running of the hall, including the collection of rental income.
Dialogue with users of the community centre.
Childrens birthday parties catered for

Our community centre committee is a vital part of the facilitys’ daily activities, keeping the place in top condition, and is often on hand evenings between 7 pm to 10 pm to take bookings. If not on duty, one of our team of volunteers will be in the office. Our hall rota of volunteers serves an import function, as without enough people to oversee the hall usage we would not be able to remain open, so a big thanks is due to all volunteers.

Maintenance and updates are part and parcel of being custodians of older buildings so here is a list of some of the recent work that we’ve done on the hall:

Handball alley & main hall floors resurfaced and all walls painted.
Hall heaters completely refurbished.
New storage areas built along the side of the main hall.
All lighting in hallways, stage and changing rooms was upgraded to LED lighting.
Work to the outside of the building, all walls repainted, roof gullies cleaned, general tidiness outside.
External storage unit for tidy town & preschool usage
Renovation & cleaning to Centre roof (Oct 2024)

There is continuous unseen work that takes up many hours within our Community Centre. Elections to take placeannually for Committee members.
