Focus Ireland is a leading nonprofit organization in Ireland dedicated to preventing homelessness and supporting those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Founded in 1985 by Sister Stanislaus Kennedy, the organization provides a range of services including:
- Emergency Accommodation: Offering immediate shelter and support for individuals and families in crisis.
- Long-term Housing Solutions: Developing and managing housing projects to provide stable, long-term homes.
- Support Services: Providing advice, advocacy, and practical assistance to help people secure and maintain housing.
- Youth Services: Supporting young people who are homeless or at risk, including aftercare services for those leaving state care.
- Research and Advocacy: Conducting research to inform policy and advocating for systemic changes to address the root causes of homelessness.
